Mr B Mazingisa has been working at Mbizana Local Municipality

since 2008 as the Director for Community Development.

An active member of the community, he was previously a Ward Councilor.

Mandate

• The municipality of Mbizana has the mandate to:

• Establish, conduct and control of facilities for the purpose of disposing of human and animal remains Identify community needs of health services in its area
• Provide, manage and maintain libraries or any community facility for public use
• Respond and provide support to affected communities
• Provide access to information to all communities
• Provide recreational services to communities
• Improve social welfare of the community
• Provide, manage, preserve and maintain any municipal place, land, and building reserved for the protection of places or objects of scenic, natural, historical and cultural value or interest.
• Register and license motor vehicles
• Improve the effectiveness of prosecution of offenders.
• Ensure public safety and free flow of traffic on all roads within the jurisdiction of Mbizana municipality.
• Test applicants for learners and driver’s license
• Conduct standard call-outs
• Respond to emergencies including accidents
• Create facilities for SMMEs
• Create an enabling environment for private sector
